	The cost of employing lawyers to contest a parking ticket would so far outweigh the cost of a fine that it wouldn’t be worth coming to us with such a matter. This is reinforced by the fact that you won’t get penalty points for parking violations. Road tax has to be paid annually on every vehicle. As with all other forms of taxation (a euphemism for legalised theft!)it cannot be levied unless certain conditions are met. For example a vehicle that is kept permanently in a garage is not liable for the tax. It is only when it is used on public roads that tax becomes due. Therefore you need to be sure that where you keep the vehicle is not classified as a place giving rise to a liabilty. Moreover back tax may be due and even the siezure of the vehicle in some circumstances! To obtain a tax disc you will need insurance, an MOT Certificate (for vehicles over three years old), the Vehicle Log Book (in the absence of the DVLA reminder form), and the fee.
