	You will probably be aware of the new law in relation to holding a mobile phone whilst driving. If not you should be because you may get 3 penalty points and a fine. You need a hands free kit so that the phone can be used without holding it. It is not a defence that your ability to drive safely is otherwise unimpaired. Other similar equipment such as a navigation device is also covered by the law. Your only defence would be that it was an emergency 999 call or that the witnesses are mistaken.
